These are pretty good – wonder if it is true?

Some of them are!…for sure

1. There is an old Hotel/Pub in Marble Arch, London which used to have gallows adjacent. Prisoners were taken to the gallows (after a fair trial of course) to be hung. The horse drawn dray, carting the prisoner was accompanied by an armed guard, who would stop the dray outside the pub and ask the prisoner if he would like ”ONE LAST DRINK”.

If he said YES it was referred to as “ONE FOR THE ROAD”

If he declined, that prisoner was “ON THE WAGON”

So there you go. More bleeding history.

2. They used to use urine to tan animal skins, so families used to all pee in a pot & then once a day it was taken & sold to the tannery. If you had to do this to survive you were “Piss Poor”. But worse than that were the really poor folk who couldn’t even afford to buy a pot they “Didn’t have a pot to Piss in” & were the lowest of the low.

The next time you are washing your hands and complain because the water temperature isn’t just how you like it, think about how things used to be. Here are some facts about the 1500s:

3. Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and they still smelled pretty good by June. However, since they were starting to smell brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odour. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married.

- Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, “Don’t throw the baby out with the Bath water!”

- Houses had thatched roofs, thick straw piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so all the cats and other small animals (mice, bugs) lived in the roof. When it rained it became slippery and sometimes the animals would slip and fall off the roof. Hence the saying “It’s raining cats and dogs.”

4. There was nothing to stop things from falling into the house. This posed a real problem in the bedroom where bugs and other droppings could mess up your nice clean bed. Hence, a bed with big posts and a sheet hung over the top afforded some protection. That’s how canopy beds came into existence.

5. The floor was dirt. Only the wealthy had something other than dirt. Hence the saying, “Dirt Poor.” The wealthy had slate floors that would get slippery in the winter when wet, so they spread thresh (straw) on floor to help keep their footing. As the winter wore on, they added more thresh until, when you opened the door, it would all start slipping outside. A piece of wood was placed in the entrance-way. Hence: a thresh hold. (Getting quite an education, aren’t you?)

- In those old days, they cooked in the kitchen with a big kettle that always hung over the fire. Every day they lit the fire and added things to the pot. They ate mostly vegetables and did not get much meat. They would eat the stew for dinner, leaving leftovers in the pot to get cold overnight and then start over the next day. Sometimes stew had food in it that had been there for quite a while. Hence the rhyme: ”Peas porridge hot, peas porridge cold, peas porridge in the pot nine days old”.

6. Sometimes they could obtain pork, which made them feel quite special. When visitors came over, they would hang up their bacon to show off. It was a sign of wealth that a man could, “Bring home the Bacon.” They would cut off a little to share with guests and would all sit around talking and ”Chew the fat”.

7. Those with money had plates made of pewter. Food with high acid content caused some of the lead to leach onto the food, causing lead poisoning & death. This happened most often with tomatoes, so for the next 400 years or so, tomatoes were considered poisonous.

8. Bread was divided according to status. Workers got the burnt bottom of the loaf, the family got the middle, and guests got the top, or ”The Upper Crust”.

9. Lead cups were used to drink ale or whisky. The combination would sometimes knock the imbibers out for a couple of days. Someone walking along the road would take them for dead and prepare them for burial. They were laid out on the kitchen table for a couple of days and the family would gather around and eat and drink and wait and see if they would wake up. Hence the custom of ”Holding a Wake”.

10. England is old and small and the local folks started running out of places to bury people. So they would dig up coffins and would take the bones to a bone-house, and reuse the grave. When reopening these coffins, 1 out of 25 coffins were found to have scratch marks on the inside and they realized they had been burying people alive. So they would tie a string on the wrist of the corpse, lead it through the coffin and up through the ground and tie it to a bell. Someone would have to sit out in the graveyard all night (the graveyard shift.) to listen for the bell; thus, someone could be, ”Saved by the Bell” or was considered a ”Dead Ringer”
And that’s the truth…Now, whoever said History was boring ! ! !

So . . . get out there and educate someone! ~~~ Share these facts with a friend like I just did! ! !

Carrots, Eggs & Coffee

A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee…

You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.

A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.

Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire.   Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.

In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, “Tell me what you see.”

“Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied.

Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard boiled egg.

Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich flavor and smelled its pleasing aroma. The daughter then asked, “What does it mean, mother?”

Her mother explained, that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg went in fragile, Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.

“Which are you?” she asked her daughter. “When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?”

Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?

Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can’t go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.

Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is smiling.

You might want to share this with those people who mean something to you (send them to http://www.theeinsidejob.com/success-articles/coffee.php); to those who have touched your life in one way or another, to those who make you smile when you really need it, to those who make you see the brighter side of things when you are really down, to those whose friendship you appreciate, to those who are so meaningful in your life.

If you don’t share it, you will just miss out on the opportunity to brighten someone elses day.

May we all be COFFEE!!!!!!!

This was shared with me by my close friend, who is in extreme pain with cancer, who spends a large amount of his time trying to help other people around him and mostly the people who he loves.

He has bigger, more far reaching problems than almost anyone. Yet, he spends the few precious days or hours he has left trying to bring a smile, a warm feeling or a sense caring to those in his life.

Compared to his problems, all mine are pretty small and petty, yet he puts his efforts into making me feel special.

I am sharing this with you now in his honor.

If we can’t be coffee, can we have coffee and be friends. Together maybe we can brighten someones day. Maybe we can help solve the problems of a friend wether he knows we helped or not.

The best way to strengthen someone’s faith or restore it to someone who has lost faith is to do something that will help them, without their knowledge of your help.

It’s called “Random Acts of Kindness.” And believe me, it brings miracles to the lives of everybody involved.

An open letter to John Delavera,

I’ve been rushing to try to make enough money so I could afford to go back to that famous(at least in my eyes) order page where all the Fantasos Special Features are listed. That page I have looked at, at least 10 times over the last couple months trying to save enough so I could just buy everything there.
Fantasos Special Features

Ever since you first announced the end of upgrades to Fantasos, and the new system will be born on 5/17, and that the end would also come to the ability to buy all of the plug-ins; I have been scampering!

For several weeks I’ve been getting closer and closer to adding up $1975.00 I knew that was what the amount added up to because I had done the math more than once. Then came the message of 4/12, with the reminder that turbo members get a 50% discount. I did the math. All the plug-ins Plus I wanted to get John’s Little Script as well.
It all added up to just over $1030. Wah Lah! I had enough!

I started typing in my email and was proceeding to fulfill all my Fantasos needs at once.

Then at that moment the telephone rang…

On the line was my sister who lives about 1200 miles away. She had a pretty bad hard luck story. She’s been unemployed for over 6 months and her husband just barely makes enough to pay their bills. She said they had got behind on their house payment and were desperate! They had to come up with $1500.00 within 3 days or the bank would begin foreclosure on their house.

It almost made me want to cry, but I knew what I had to do. I told her to expect an email in a couple minutes from paypal. The money would be there so she could save her house. All she had to do was transfer the money to her bank and make the payment.

And of course, she called me right back to let me know it was there, and to tell me how grateful she was.

So then I went to the forum to look at that thread again, the “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT about the new platform coming” thread. I read it through again. I swear as God is my witness I did NOT see the 70% coupon before. Was I just blind to it, or it was God’s way of helping me save the money so I could help my sis from losing her home.

Whatever it was, I didn’t see that coupon until today.

What a surprise indeed! Of course matching with your over delivering style: “turbo members now get 70% discount instead of 50%”

So I remembered the email that came earlier this week. I went back to look at it. Sure enough there it is: 70% off coupon.

Wow, is it odd or is it God?

OK, so now I have hope again. I sent most of what I had saved for Fantasos out to save my sis from disaster. But with new eyes or “the Gift of a New Pair of Glasses” that generosity has brought me back into the reach of it’s still possible…

My hope is renewed and my faith is restored!

I did the math again. I took each amount and applied the coupon to that amount. It all added up to $555. I was still short by a couple hundred.

Then came the mail-man. You won’t believe what he had…

A check from Clickbank for $240.00, it added all up to a nice round number of “Five Seventeen”. Can you believe that!

So here is the real kicker…

I loaded the order page once again!

I filled in my email address and applied the coupon. $14.10 was the answer.

I couldn’t believe it. One after the other, every item there was the same price. All total, $211.50 then John’s Little Script $47 for a grand total of $258.50 for $2022 worth of Turbo scripts.

I honestly would have paid that entire amount. I was prepared to do just that too!

Fantasos, probably would not have let me do it though! As soon as I added my email address I saw the first discount. All the prices dropped to $47. Even at $47 for 15 plug-ins adds up to $705. And then add in JLS adds up to $752. All according to my math, anyway!

So after all that I had to go back and try it again just to see if maybe, just maybe I was seeing things or maybe Fantasos had a glitch and was giving too much discount. It turned out the same again.

And THEN I remembered! You had announced a Customers’ Appreciation Plan for those customers that paid a specific amount in the past….

I was ON THAT LIST!

So Fantasos was changing the prices accordingly!!!

WOW!

Wait, there’s more!

OK! So if that’s not enough, let’s do a little math…

I needed $1975 – the year I graduated HS
I had $1777
I was short $198
sis’s house $1500 – a generous gift to give when so much is at stake!(for me)
Left me with $277
Check came from CB, $240 – a total surprise
277 + 240 = 517 John’s BD

Believing I only had enough to get 14 of the 15 plug ins, I proceeded to get all except Pagseguro. But then I saw the extreme discount so I got that one too just as a measure of symbolic gratitude for completeness.

In the end I spent a total of $258.50 after starting with $517

258.50 X 2 = 517

I got everything I wanted and only spent exactly half my money!

So, now for the icing on the cake…

After all was said and done my sis called me back. She wanted to know if I knew of anything she could do to earn some extra money!

I could add the message here I sent to her, but I think it will do just to say that I have a new student in the IM business! Her first assignment is to read the “Big Yellow book of Turbo Marketing Secrets.” Not once, not twice but 3 times and take notes on her third time reading.

I also told her, knowing she has quite a lot of experience working with pdf files from her previous job that that could be just the edge she needs to become very successful in the Internet Marketing business.

At this point, up until today, she didn’t even know what an ebook is. Where she worked they just called them pdf’s and well, that’s what they call ’em!

So she has no bad habits to break, nor any bad information to recover from.
So if you check your subscriber list today, you should have Teresa H. as a new subscriber. That’s My sister, and she lives in Boise Idaho…
with no danger of losing her home today!

Thanks to you, John!!!

I hope you enjoyed reading that story as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Your friend and fan!

Do You Know The Most Common Expressions That Automatically And Effortlessly Attract
The Things You Don’t Want To You?

“Talk is cheap” is an expression that you’ve probably heard many times before. Well there’s also a saying that you’ve probably not heard of that’s more important when it comes to the Law of Attraction and words.

“Talk (Words) can be dangerous!”

You’re going to discover in the next few minutes why talk (the combination and use of words) can be dangerous if use without caution.

15 Common Expressions That Give More Energy And Attention To What You Actually Don’t Want Revealed

Words have the power to create or destroy. Words, spoken and unspoken create thoughts. Thoughts evoke feelings and control your mood. Feelings create vibrations, positive or negative.

Here are some very common expressions that have the power to get you the results you’re not actually seeking:

1. Don’t forget

2.    I don’t want to be late for the interview

3.    I don’t want to be cheated on

4.    I don’t want to fail

5.    Don’t be late

6.    Don’t slam the door

7.    I don’t want to lose money

8.    Please…Don’t panic!

9.    I don’t want to lose this business

10. I don’t want to be out of a job

11. Don’t hesitate to get in touch

12. I don’t want to be poor

13. Don’t forget about me

14. Please don’t drop litter!

15. Don’t look now but….

You see there’s nothing earth shattering in this list but they are common phrases that get you results if you use them…the wrong results.

Law of Attraction works in a mirror fashion to how your mind works and filters out the “Don’t” part of your statements so you get what you don’t want.

You can easily change this by replacing your “What I don’t want” statements with “What I do want” ones.

How To Replace Your Common Negatives With Positives

Here’s an easy and effective way to eliminate ‘reverse attraction’ from your life.

Anytime you catch yourself using the words Not, No, Don’t etc stop for a moment and yourself what you DO want. You’ll create a different more positive statement with your answer and as your words change so will the vibration you’re giving off. The Law of Attraction will pick this up and without fail, give you more of it.

When your life seems out of control and you’ve got endless demands tugging at you from all directions, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, fatigued – and just plain stressed!

Believe it or not, balancing your life does not require massive changes. You don’t have to quit your job, abandon your family and escape to a remote retreat in order to feel peaceful and happy. In fact, true balance is something that starts WITHIN YOU first and foremost – no matter what else is happening in your outer life circumstances.

Below you’ll find three simple ways to begin building a greater sense of inner peace and harmony:

1) Quiet time.

One of the first things we tend to sacrifice when we’re busy is our personal time. Instead we devote all of our energy and attention to caring for others, multi-tasking, meeting responsibilities and “being productive.” Over time this depletes our energy and we begin to feel more and more burdened by our responsibilities.

To live a more balanced life, quiet time to yourself is CRUCIAL. You may believe that you don’t have any time available for yourself, but something amazing happens when you consistently MAKE time; you find yourself feeling happier and more energetic, your focus improves – and you still get plenty done! Just a few minutes spent sitting quietly in meditation or reading a book can do wonders in transforming stress into peace and happiness.

2) Self-care.

Beyond making time for things you enjoy, there are other ways to nurture and love yourself on a daily basis. Getting a full 8 hours of sleep (or as much as you personally need) is a great start, as well as eating nutritious food, exercising daily and speaking kindly to yourself.

Have you ever noticed that when you’re really tired or stressed, even the smallest problem can seem like a nightmare? On the other hand, when you’re feeling well-rested and centered, you’re much better able to handle upsets. Caring for yourself is one sure way to consistently replenish your energy, inner peace and joy – which means you’ll have the strength to handle whatever comes your way.

3) Flexibility.

Did you know that one of the biggest causes of stress is rigid expectations? We all do it from time to time; get a mental picture of how our lives “should be” – and get really annoyed when our outer circumstances don’t cooperate! One of the biggest gifts you can give yourself is a flexible state of mind. In other words, learn how to detach from unrealistic expectations and go with the flow.

When you have a flexible mind-set, you’re able to deal with crises and problems much more easily because you’re not working against a preconceived notion of how things “should be”. You’re able to tap into your creative problem-solving skills and move through challenges without all the drama and frustration. Be like the tree that bends with the breeze – and you’re much less likely to break!

These inner changes can make a dramatic difference in your state of well-being, but you may also want to examine your outer life circumstances and see if there are other small changes you can make to help support your inner work.

For example, you might choose to let go of certain obligations that are no longer meaningful or enjoyable to you. Just because you agreed to host weekly meetings for a support group three years ago doesn’t mean you have to keep doing it forever – especially if it’s become a drain on your time and energy!

Be willing to let go of activities that no longer complement the lifestyle you desire, and you’ll create a space for greater fulfillment, joy and peace.

Branding your name (or your pen name) is very important on the Internet, no matter what niche you’re in. You need to establish yourself as an authority in your market, because people trust authority figures.

They trust their recommendations, they trust that their products will be of good quality, and they trust that they have integrity. It also lends credence to the buyer that you’re a real person – not just some nameless, faceless entity trying to sell them something on a static, automated website.

You should put your name on everything you create. Whether it’s a membership site, an eBook, or something as small as a PLR article pack for sale – you should put your name on it. Getting your name out there is so essential to your ongoing success.

Think about all of the marketing gurus you’ve heard of. Some of them you may not have heard of yet, especially if you’re new, but chances are you’ve heard of at least a few of these. Have you heard of John Reese, Mike Filsaime, Frank Kern, Dan Kennedy, Joe Vitale, Willie Crawford, John Delavera, or the late Gary Halbert?

If you’ve been in marketing long at all you’ve surely heard of at least one of these people. People know and remember the names of these people because they put their names on everything they put out.

Their names are all over the marketing forums, their eCovers, their headers, and everything else they do. They work very hard to brand their names, because their names become the brands. People buy their products simply because their name is on it.

Buyers think that the product must be good, because the person is so well-known. You should do the same thing with your name. Always use the same name on everything you do within a particular niche.

You may not want to use your real name for whatever reason, but your name needs to be a “real name.” A nickname usually won’t cut it in most markets, but sometimes it works – like in the case of Travis “The Bum” Marketer or the “Rich Jerk.”

If you’ve signed up for forums under a nickname, ask the moderators if they can change your name to your real name or pen name. You might not want to tell the moderator’s it’s a pen name. That’s up to you.

Keep getting your name out there any way you can. Host teleseminars, JV with well-known people if possible, and offer to help create content for well-known people in your niche in exchange for a Bio Box that hosts your name and link to your website.

Offer to be an interview subject for someone. Be a “guest author” for popular websites and blogs in your niche, and create 100% original content for them. Never stop branding your name. Even when you’re as famous as Donald Trump, the king of name branding, don’t stop.

Donald still puts his name on everything he does. His name appears in huge, bold letters on his books. He names buildings after himself. Think of Trump Tower, Trump Taj Mahal, and Trump Plaza. His name is all over everything.

Not only is it a matter of pride, but it keeps his name everywhere. You may never be as famous as the Donald, or even as famous as John Reese, but you might become known as the king or queen of your own little niche or for a particular slant that grows in popularity.

Here’s just one example: Scott Anson, Aka LocoMarketer, or Aka afree1. There is a story behind each of those names, which we won’t go into just now, but you get the point.

There is also John Delavera. Aka: John (of-de the-la Truth-vera) Delavera
John is well known for his Turbo Brand. It is known all over the net as The Membership with Everything!

Now, how about: Scott Anson==>Afree1… And My Internet Marketing blog is at theeinsidejob.com Short for Thee Inside Job.

Hence: Scott Anson==>Afree1 ;)

And this is my Self Development blog. It’s about the Awakening of the Inner Consciousness to Become the Shining Star the Universe Wants Us to be.

And why do I use self development for a basis? Here’s why!

Because everything needs to have a strong foundation. If you want to put up a tall building, you first need a strong foundation. Then You build on top of that.

Self Development will build the belief system you have. Your ethics. Your philosophy. Your integrity. Your self confidence. And the list goes on.

And that is why I have developed this site. To help You build a strong foundation where you can learn to believe in yourself and build whatever you choose to build.
